Calling all soulful, free-spirited men and women to join us once again for our FULL MOON BEACH CIRCLE + DRUMMING come back!!!
This is the soft opening for our series of Beach Circles coming this Summer 2018. Goddesshood will be inviting some incredible featured guest contributors to join us and share their art, craft or words of wisdom this season.
Our very first special guest is the incredible multi-instrumentalist
AKIVA THE BELIEVER!
Akiva Wharton, aka Akiva the Believer, is a long time professional hand drummer who has worked with many influential artists in the jewish community, such as Paul of Peter, Paul and Mary, Shlomo Carlebach and a who's who in the musical world. He leads drum circles, gives solo concerts, improv performances, and has a CD, "The Rhythm of G!d".
Akiva has been a big influence in bringing drums back into the Jewish Service. Now joined by his soulmate and bride, Cantor Lisa Ann Wharton, Akiva is unstoppable!
Akiva graced our Goddesshood gathering for the first time last June, bringing his soulful persona, immense energy and talent, and leading the group in rhythmic waves. He was also part of the "Strawberry Moon Jam Band" that was born on those very sands of Robert Moses, after-circle, formed by many talented artists that showed up with their acoustic wares to play for us!

Our gatherings aim to foster community, connect with nature and awaken individuals to their divine purpose. There is no religious affiliation. We practice finding divinity within.

Goddess Luna is the Circle Leader for Goddesshood, a Divine Feminine Awakening Movement focused on building sisterhood, community and support for men and women in their journey to becoming the best version of themselves. Join Luna to learn practical, empowering and self-mastering tools. Luna hosts a circle every month on or around the Full Moon. A Circle is a great way for both men and women to nurture and reconnect with source and balance the feminine and masculine polarities within, connect with other like minded people and honor our spiritual selves. We have a lot of fun too!

This April 29/30 Full Moon falls in the water sign of Scorpio. Scorpio invites us to dive deep into our subconscious and unbury what is hidden underneath in the underworld of the Soul. Are there any aspects of you that are unwanted, or perhaps you have been suppressing? Do you have shadow parts of your personality that you don’t want to face?
Full Moon is a time of opposing energies when the Moon is opposite the Sun. The Sun is currently in the sign of Taurus, the bull, and the Moon is in Scorpio. Taurus is an Earth sign, very grounded, practical, physical, connected to things of beauty and value. Scorpio is the water sign of death, rebirth, sex, magic, and transformation. Very fluid, almost like a veil to the underworld. Herein lies the power of this Full Moon. When the watery aspect of Scorpio is combined with the earthy aspects of Taurus, this can be very transformative.
This Full Moon is challenging us to calm down the ego and bring to surface conditioned behavior, to be able to express and create from your true Self.
Taurus is the sign ruled by Venus and this sign is about beauty, value, self-love, and self-worth. See yourselves for who you are, and accept and love all parts of you, unconditionally. Risk and look beyond what we fear, so beautiful things will come into existence. What is needed is much self-love and acceptance. What is the real beauty of you? What is needed to let go so you can surrender and enter the Gateway to your Soul? How can you value yourself more?
Accept who you really are and surrender with trust that everything new sprouting this Taurus month will have strong, grounded roots to support you to stand tall and proud of who you are.
